Silk & Saffron is a Singapore–based curator of antique rugs, vintage objects, and heritage textiles, with craft traditions rooted in Persian and central Asian culture.

The brief called for an identity with depth and restraint—one that could hold its own alongside objects of genuine age and provenance.

A bespoke wordmark and family of symbol variations were developed then combined with a fitting brand palette and custom photo gallery.

Each of the four symbols draws on the idea of geological strata: layers pressed by time, and surface patterns formed through process.

Garamond Premier is a contemporary revival of 16th-century type that retains subtle irregularities from the original hand-cut forms, giving a crafted, tactile quality not often seen in modern serifs.
