Ecometrica helps businesses meet their sustainability challenges, reduce costs, and increase overall performace. The company needed a logo that matched their skills and expertise.

The three-ringed symbol represents Ecometrica’s three key areas of influence—land use, greenhouse gas emissions, and policy and research. As with all symbolism in branding, simplicity in appearance improves recognition rates, while with Ecometrica it also reflects on the company’s quiet efficiency.

Many brands with a focus on the environment are identified by palettes of green. While obvious can be good, it rarely differentiates, so assigning reds and blues to the Ecomentrica identity creates a more impactful impression, further accentuated by combining the colours with land satellite imagery.

The company has grown from the original Edinburgh base to house additional offices in London, Boston, and Montreal, and a client list that includes Greenpeace, Royal Mail, WWF, BP, and The Scottish Government.
