I looked at the website most recently listed above for Palmer Holmes. It almost gives me the impression that these are hobbies, not his work. Not because of a quality issue, but because it’s a MySpace, bloggy sort of thing. This means you have to scroll down past ads and skip irrelevant or inappriate comments. You don’t control your message.

I’m pretty new to the design world ( 6 months in ) so take my words with a grain of sand. At first your site seed a bit overwhelming but then again I didn’t enter via the home page so when i got a better look at the over all picture – you defiantly hit “professional” right on. And your site dose what it say it dose and appears to be very user friendly although I did confuse this for an exclusively ” design blog ” and took me a little bit to realize its also your portfolio site – but still trustworthy I can see being very prominent trait on your site. Friendly – Just by scrolling down seeing you reply to all the ppl who posted here screamed ” FRIENDLY ” – good idea having your post being individually identified as you and not just another comment or post. It made it easier to see your interaction with others and I like what i saw.

As for me – my portfolio site is currently under construction but I have designed my Myspace which I will be basing my website on. I also have plans for a word-press blog soon. Hope all is well bud.

Professional, Trustworthy, Friendly — I’d say you hit the nail on the head. Everything is very clean and profession, and the fact that the site is in a blog format that you post to regularly gives me the sense that you are an authority on graphic design topics. That being said, the overall tone of your blog makes you sound like if we crossed paths, we could have friendly and engaging conversation. Nice work.

Professional, Trustworthy, Friendly – 10/10. This blog says that through and through. It’s impeccably designed. I think one of the key features is how helpful the design is in leading the reader towards other information they might be interested in.

My site’s just gone offline. I’m really unhappy with it. I’d like it to say “this guy is an absolute beast, but far too modest and sophisticated to brag about it”, but that simply isn’t the case. So for now I’d be happy with “young, gifted and desperate to improve”.

I’ve always liked the simplicity of Indexhibit sites. One suggestion is to further-integrate your blog so the transition is more seamless. Had you thought of WordPress instead of Blogger?
