That little blue pill from Pfizer is celebrating its 10th birthday. Let’s reminisce together about the flood of Viagra spam we’ve each deleted.
Watch on YouTube if you can’t see ad above. The video, developed by French agency BDDP & Fils is being shown to the Pfizer’s European staff as part of the 10 year celebrations.

when I saw the title in Google Reader, I thought “wow, they invented RSS spam” :)

I’m not sure if it’ll air in the US, Kiren. In fact, I don’t think it’s going to be shown anywhere other than on YouTube, and to Pfizer employees.
Paul, that’s odd. The “add this” pop-up appears in front of the embedded video for me, using both Firefox and Safari. What browser are you using? (Thanks for the help, by the way.)

I’ve got to say, it’s still ridiculous but it’s a damn sight LESS so than the ads we’ve seen here in the U.S. In comparison, it very nearly looks downright classy. :-)

Neal, it’s the first Viagra ad I’ve seen (at least, it’s the first I can remember seeing — a big difference with my memory). It’s the music that does it. Not quite there, but almost.
Yes… I think that little blue pill has caused as much damage to the economy through SPAM as it has made in revenue for Pfizer! I love the photo. Sweets work well for these too!

Other than the sultry music (which doesn’t quite jive with me), I don’t see why this couldn’t be aired in the US. I’ve seen worse on daytime television. It’s subtle, and as someone else said earlier, pretty classy.

ha funny advert. suprising it’s only 10 years old though as it feels like centuries ago since i first got my email about where to get cheap viagra from.
