Royalty-free stock photography

Winter stock photo

Photography is something I love. However, it’s very unlikely that I’ll have the time (or skill for that matter) to shoot photos for the exact needs of every design client I take on. Also, my clients can’t all afford to pay for a professional photographer.

So where are the best stock photography websites found? Oddly, on the internet *groan*…

Here are a few of my favourite online stock sources for when time’s against me and the clients’ purse strings are tighter than the proverbial cat’s chuff.

If you want the most comprehensive list of stock photography websites I’ve ever come across then check out BLUE VERTIGO. Be warned however, the choice far outweighs the time available under normal circumstances.

A special creative design thank you to Cat at Designers Who Blog for this kind feature.

  9. It’s too bad that you have no time for photography. By just looking at your sample photo here I can sense that you’re a real artist. Only true artist can take pictures of ordinary places from extraordinary angles thereby bringing something so beautiful to look at. I think all you have to do is to learn how to manage your time properly. Through that you’ll be able to have time for everything most especially for photography.

  10. David - as ever I need something, I come to your site and I find the answer. Yes, gush, gush. As a new blogger and someone that’s spending lots of time setting up their own blog (I have three or four - I forget - to allow me to muck around and make mistakes) I come to your site to work stuff out. Today I needed to find out about stock photography. I always use stock.xchng but after a bunch of Googling decided to turn to a ‘man that knows.’ That’s you. Thank you once again for helping me along on my blogging journey and keeping up a great blog. Web Gal x

Congratulations on uncovering one of my older blog posts! It’s been a while since this was published. Did you find it through my Google custom search? I notice you also have this search feature on your blog, and I hope it’s working well for you.

    All the best.
