Great design. I totally agree with you, it’s better this new orange look without the clouds. Great seeing you at how magazine. You’re a clear reference for people trying to learn about corporate identity.

Hi David, I am a little late to the mark with this one aren’t I! I was browsing some of your previous articles and noticed this one about the site change and wanted to say I love the new change and do agree that it looks sharper, more distinctive and refined. I do approve! I have recently felt the creative urge to refresh and it sounds silly, but you do feel better about it - another step forward, progressing etc.

Loving the site - thanks for all the great articles, keep it up!

The header seemed odd to me at first, but I quite like it now, and the white space helps draw attention to the navigation bar, as leandra mentioned, which is useful for new visitors. As for the favicon, I don’t think my DA symbol reduces as well as I’d like to 16×16. The icon might change, but it’s not a priority.

Glad you like the favicon, thanks. I wanted to keep it as simple as possible to mirror the simplistic design.

It’s funny, some people commented how orange has been used quite a lot. You can never please everyone eh? As for the constant mind changes, yep, certainly the bane of a designer’s life.

David, Great choice! Love the orange color, pops a lot more than the blue - seems blue is used often these days. (Not that I don’t like blue) - but I rather enjoy your change! I’m working on some changes too and believe it or not, it has orange in it. haha. Don’t you hate how your never satisfied? It’s frustrating to me - change my mind all the time :)

Aw, I like the favicon. I think it’s pretty clever. Nice, recognisable favicons are hard to make.

Overall I like it better, despite my not liking the colour orange normally…
However, I do think the header looks little odd now.
I love the black/orange footer.
I hate the favicon :(. Where’s the DA symbol? (Dark grey?)

Thanks for your comments. That’s a great point about the top nav bar being more prominent. Any way I can promote better site navigation is a plus.
