David

Like most people I have way too many online newtorks in operation. Some are like bare patch in the garden and just don't get maintained (mainly due to the lack of time). Others are up to the minute. But the biggest time sink I find is re-linking to all you contacts on that network. We really need that XFN glue similar to open-id. Maybe with s cross link to open-id, such that open-id is used as a base identifier of your contacts and then this allows you to identify them and import them from one network to the next. Relying on an email address as many networks do is plagued with problems.

Hi Terence,

Thanks for adding me. I'll gladly reciprocate.

Asgeir,

I joined up to the guerilla marketing group. Nice photos! For typography I'd give 9rules a go. Some very talented designers hang out there. Have you made use of the <a href=http://forum.howdesign.com/" target="new" rel="nofollow">HOW forums</a>? I think for graphic design / typography they're definitely the best I've used.

Justin, Brett,

Thanks for the adds. I do have a MySpace profile, Brett, but it's quite old and not very 'professional' so I chose to not advertise it. I don't use it very often these days.

Hi Connie,

I've not used Ning. Does anyone besides Connie have any knowledge of it? There are so many it can be time-consuming keeping up. I'm limiting new ones to those that have an emphasis on design or a good network of designers.

Carol,

Thanks a lot for the mention on your site. Much appreciated.

Chris,

I did forget StumbleUpon, cheers. It has been a great source of traffic for me (thanks to many of you) so I'll get that added too.

I forgot about Flickr too, thanks Jamie.

Why no StumbleUpon David? For giving and receiving decent traffic, it's my favourite by a long way.

If you've not used it, my link gives a run down on why it's useful. I've stumbled across a couple of sites recently that I think you would have appreciated from a designers POV.
