Movie title sequences

How big a movie fan are you? Do you get to the cinema early so you can watch the trailers or do you leave it until the last minute?
I’m a big movie lover. Especially those films with an added design element at the beginning.
I was browsing my feed subscriptions and came across a great little project, Forget the film, watch the titles. It’s a collection of title sequences put into the following categories — animation, motion graphics, 3D, mixed and comedy. The collection is small at present but it’s growing. Thankfully one of my favourite sequences is in there — the animation from Kiss Kiss Bang Bang. Sadly the film didn’t live up to the opening.
Thanks to fade theory for flagging this one.

You’re talented too Chris. Just in a different way.
Some people are so horribly talented it’s not fair.

I have been wanting to find a website that did this for ages…now where is Saul Bass?
Kiss Kiss Bang Bang is my absolute favourite title sequence too!! I however thought the film was rather good as well. That site is one of my favourite. I am doing my honours minor on The typographic rules and how film titles break them (or not) effectively. Going to be great if I can complete it in time…
If you have any input, I would greatly appreciate it! cheers!
Hi Rob,
Lee rightly mentions Saul Bass. Here’s a great selection of his title sequence work:
