I just picked up Adobe’s CS3 Web Premium and have been fooling around with Illustrator for the first time in many years. My first project? A logo!

This design really stood out and inspired me to go get some more fonts!

Creativity came so much easier when I was younger… :)

Glad you like! It’s odd, I first removed the dot above the ‘i’ in order to incorporate the three kayaks in one of the logo variations. Then when I opted for the two kayaks at the left of the words, I first tried it still without the dot, and found I liked that version better. The dot was superfluous.

I really like the final logo, David. Well done! Was it too distracting or unbalanced to leave the dot above “i” in the logo?
