Perhaps a link at the foot of the article leading directly to the contact form, skipping the comments, but that might detract from any conversation taking place." Then Bret wrote, "When I selected the option to leave a comment, I was taken directly here. To read previous comments I had to scroll back up. Not a big deal but I guess I just prefer the more standard “comments” link." There's just no satisfying everyone... ;) I wish you hadn't added the avatar option, 'cause now I feel like I need to get one! Especially since the generic shadow avatar looks like a dude, and that just won't do.
