wow, thats really cool, but unfortunately very very similar to the blood donation ads. Its great that it just takes someone to literally think outside of the square, but is a bit stink to the first group who had the initiative to go and put their idea out there. Definately a vote for the billboard idea!!! that would look great if the people were lifesize and had a bit more detail to them - surely a crowd stopper!

And David, kudos on such a brill site - full of stimulating ideas and other thought provoking content, i stumbled upon it in my searches for some research for my final year project at uni.

Now that is cool, pity these simple and highly effective ideas are rarely used and seen these days.

Hi Lauren, I clicked-through, superb!

John, the distressed backgrounds are nice aren't they? They really add to the photographs.

Brilliant. Have never seen these before. Brilliantly executed, and love those distressed backgrounds. Great find, David--truly inspiring.

Neat!! I love creative things like this where the designer has done more than just print something on a piece of paper. I admire people who can think like that. What I like about the blood donor ad is the contrast between the red and white that you don't get with the suicide one (though the overall idea is better suited for suicide prevention). Maybe if the suicide one was printed black on the front and had the white cutout that would be better. And another vote for the billboard idea here!

Have you seen the video ad from Banc de Sang, yet? Cameron Moll mentioned it on his blog a couple days ago.

That is a cool and very simple idea! I like it .. it's one of those, "Now why didn't I think of that?" things! I agree with Andy that it might make for an interesting billboard. An ad that clever would look better in large scale.

I also think the shadows really help bring the idea to life. If these were shown at billboard size I'd definitely stop and look. Thanks for all your comments.
