Good luck to all of you who are attempting to quit. It's an extremely important decision to make.

I am a smoker, like all other smokers I know the risks of smoking and yet I still smoke. Instead of saying the same old things over and over (like I didn't understand the first time) let's do something about this problem. I have developed a cigarette pack that you can plug into your USB port on your home computer and click on specific times over a 24 hour period that you want the pack to open. Although this may seem like another gimmick, it's not. All smokers smoke out of habit, What my pack does is break that habit. If you just extend the time between cigarettes each week eventually your dependancy will be gone. Like all of the other nay sayers I will admit that if someone really wanted a cigarette they could break the pack open and get one, you have to want to quit for any tobacco ceccasion devise to work.

How very ingenious! There was a plan to put pictures like that on cigarette packages here in the Netherlands, but fortunately that's canceled now. Does anyone recognize the writing on the marlboro package? Maybe sanskrit?

Thanks Pinksy.

The indoor smoking ban has been enforced for about a year now here in Scotland. It's so good to go out for a drink and not return reeking of smoke.

...I'm quitting when the ban kicks in anyway (honest).

PS, like the addition of the MyBlogLog pics to the comments - makes sense.

Nor did I, Beth Ellen.

Even back in the days when I did smoke, it wasn't something that I ever felt like doing.
