I’m having a break
Starting next week, I’m going to have a break for a month. A break from blogging, and a break from work. I’m fortunate to be able to do so, and it’s one of the reasons why I moved into self-employment in the first place. Therefore, you’ll not be receiving your regular updates again until around Christmas.
I’ve been planning this break for some time, which is, of course, why I’ve left it until the last minute to ask if you’d like to write a guest blog post.
It’s very short notice, but on the off-chance that you’re not out enjoying yourself, or spending time with the family, it’s a chance for you to reach my 3,000 excellent subscribers (by RSS and email), and I’ll include a little bit about you / your website. Email me with details of what you propose.
I can’t promise anything, but if you have a good idea for an article that generates discussion, I’d love to hear from you.

David - I think this is a very well earnt break. Your blog’s subscriber count has exploded in the past months, and deservedly so. It always astounds me how often I find your insightful comments on blogs around the place, nevermind the updates here!
I hope you have something nice planned for the month, and won’t be spending it all lying infront of the TV! (Just about half the month infront of the TV is more reasonable. ;) )
And guest posting here is an opportunity that a lot of us are going to jump at! Quite a mark to live up to though. If I have a good idea, I might email if I’m feeling up to the challenge (You can then shoot me down as you please. :D )

I’ve been on something of a hiatus myself recently, in order to catch up with some other important things in life. The break will do you good, its quite refreshing :)
I hope you’ve caught well up with those things that brought about your hiatus.
I’m glad you’re taking a break from both - blogging and work, otherwise if you still had to do one of those, you wouldn’t have much break ;-) Will you be doing some traveling during your break?
Guest writing for your blog would be an honour for me. I hope one day I can take a break and ask you to guest write for me. I wonder if you agree ;-)

Gday David, I have found a logo pretty much exactly like yours under best logos of 2006 (but sorry to say, they are pretty poor logos they mention). It is called Digital Angel and its just like your logo but with a little halo over it. Though you might like to know…

Jacob - good spot, I’m sure David will be interested. Although, I doubt they’ve “copied” his. They seem to be based on the same font. As they say, “there is nothing new under the sun”.
I really enjoyed my break, and now I’ll get back to some sort of regular blog posting schedule.
