Thanks for sharing that link to his eBook. its pretty in depth but it seems lot of this can now be automated with smarter content robots out there making article submission so much more of a breeze, especially if you are looking at monetizing your blog, but definitely worth a read though with some valuable tips inside.

Jim,

I hope you learnt something new from David's ebook.

Rob,

It'd definitely be good to know just how worthwhile the link juice might be. For me, duplicate content is a grey area. I'm not too clued in on the workings.

Interesting PDF. My experience of article submission hasn't been as successful as Brian's. I submitted a few articles to sites such as EzineArticles and ArticlesBase. The traffic I got from them is minimal even though they do get passed around to other articles' sites. The link juice may have been there but I found I could not specify the anchor text in the link back to my site. If the article's the same as one of my blog articles I worry about duplicate content and if it's a brand new article I think, what a waste, that could've gone on my blog!

It's something that is often listed as a good SEO/backlink practice but I can't seem to get it to work either!

Rob Cubbon's last blog post...American flag inside country map outline

Nice just downloaded this and can't wait to read it! I recently wrote an ebook on a specific form of internet marketing (see link) and am curious to see what this will contain that I didn't already know.

Regan,

I'm not surprised you were familiar with much of what David included, given your blog background, so I'm glad there was a gem tucked away in there for you. It'd be great if you let me know how you get on.

I downloaded the report and gave it a read.

Lots of stuff I already knew - but the one gem was the Tube Mogul site for central video releases. Going to be exploring that option very soon with the help of a videographer friend of mine.

Regan's last blog post..vintage Leslie 122 speaker for sale

When I referred to 'small blogs' I meant ones with very low subscriber numbers, larger sites such as yours ,of course, have more benefit. But in saying that, it wouldn't hurt at all for smaller blogs to video cast that's for sure.

This could be timely.

Now that my site resdesign has crested the critical stage I've been spending an increasing amount of time reseaching ways to market my site (outside of normal paid advertising campaigns).

It's somewhat harder for an online store as opposed to a straight blog, but hopefully there's a gem or two that could be an asset.

Regan's last blog post..Bullfrog Music special: February 2008
