Why do I blog?

Unless something seriously important comes up, I spend a little time each day blogging (“The blogosphere is hot”). So after being asked why I blog, by Dawud, I’m compelled to write this post.
1/ Firstly, I enjoy sharing what I’m passionate about — all things creative (adgoodness is a nice place to stop by for a drink of creativity).
2/ It’s an important way of building my brand and interacting with my target audience (Small Business Branding is a nice resource that I’ve learnt a thing or two from).
3/ I’ve been able to strike up conversations with so many like-minded people that I otherwise wouldn’t have (MyBlogLog community has helped a fair bit in this respect – group hug).
4/ I learn at the very least one new thing every day (today for instance I learnt that Jesus Votes for Sausage — who’d have thought?).
5/ Lastly — there are more reasons but I’m sticking to five — Scotland is extremely cold at this time of year so Portobello Beach isn’t great for a dip.
Here’s where I mention a few blogs that get me thinking. Pretty much all of the sites I subscribe to do this, and apologies if yours isn’t one of those randomly selected.
- Michael Surtees and his Design Notes blog.
- David the Designer (don’t call him Dave).
- Susan Jones and her Out On The Coast photography.
- Ed Roach from the Branding Experts.
- DT at Design Sojourn (lurking somewhere in Singapore or Sydney).
- Chris and his Scottish-based Blog-Op.
One other thing, I was recently presented with a Thinking Blogger Award by Ilker, and couldn’t finish this post without saying thank you.
