Making your blog more about your readers

In a continuous effort to involve you more in this little blog of mine, I’ve made two subtle changes today.
Firstly, you’ll notice in the horizontal navigation at the top of the page that there’s a new section for Quotes of yours.
I was asked to include a page showing all of your kind suggestions, so you can read everyone’s insights in one handy place. Again, feel free to submit your own quote for inclusion on every single page.
Also, in my blog footer, you’ll notice a little section headed, “Write for Creative Design“.
Should you have a desire to guest author here, with a post related to the world of creative design, I’d be delighted to read your thoughts. Get in touch and we can talk a little more about it. With an average of almost 1,000 daily visitors (according to my Google analytics), you’d be getting your voice out there.
I’m moving into a new Edinburgh flat next week so I might not be able to post as much as I have been. Having spent the past two years at my current location it’s time to move on and hopefully it won’t cause too much disruption.
As always, should you have any suggestions on the direction this blog should take, do let me know. I write as much for you as I do for myself.

Excellent opportunity David - I’ll give it some thought and will send a submission over the w’end.
Wow, i will think about it and probably write an article for your blog. :)
Great idea David!
I’ll submit something for you as soon as time permits!

Moving is a lot of work. Hope it goes well!
1000 Daily visitors? [jealous....]
Nice one David :-) Good luck with your move.
Beth Ellen, Chris, I’ve grown very accustomed to moving so I’m sure everything will go well. Cheers.
Good luck with the move. We have considered a move to Edinburgh actually and may just do so in the next year or so. We love Edinburgh.
Btw, love how you are making your blog incorporate your reader’s ideas/thoughts etc.
Hi David!
I’m definitely not a designer…no submissions here, but love how you’re involving your community–I love the ‘quotations’ idea…ingenious :-)
Have a great and safe move!
Peace.
I wouldn’t exactly call myself a designer either, so I’m not sure if I can help out that way David.
Have a safe move - although you know you ought to be returning to bonny Bangor! ;)
David.
check your inbox - the submittal should be there. Cheers
Ponn, do you have any quotes you’d like to add? Thanks for the well-wishes!
Armen, haha, I think it’s a safe bet I’ll not be moving back to Bangor in the near future. I am returning next month however, for a week with my family. Are you in Australia temporarily or will it be a permanent move?
Excellent TPB. I’ll have a look.
[...] can You Get More Involved at EmpowerWomenNow.com? David is involving his community in this interesting fashion…if you’re a designer please submit articles as guest posts [...]
You’re like John Chow only not evil. I love your ideas!
As for moving and missing out on blogging, try taking advantage of the WordPress time stamp feature to “future date” your posts. That way you have a constant stream of content spaced throughout your absence.
Off to look for a good design quote…
Cheers!
I’d prefer you describe John Chow as an evil David Airey. ;)
The time stamp is a great feature. Now if only the next WordPress release would have a ‘write my post for me’ feature so I could set some articles to publish when I’m away.
Thanks for sending the quote!
Hi,
I’m new at blogging, but I have the impression that no one wants to comment on my posts.
I don’t know why.
Can u take a look and tell me what i’m doing wrong
Thank’s a lot!
I stopped by your blog and left a comment. Hopefully my thoughts will help you out.
