bla.st, the free card directory

I’m not one to advertise a third party unless I think it’s a valuable service for you, so this is one worth a look in my opinion. bla.st (link removed on 11 October 2012 as the site seems to have disappeared) is an online business card gallery to promote your business.
Chris gave a good description of it on Blog-Op (link removed — another disappearance).
The sooner you upload your card for free, the higher in the rankings you’ll be. You can pay to be at the very top, but at the time of writing, free uploads are on the first page of relevant results.
My card’s simple, just my logo on a white background. I uploaded it for free about an hour ago and have noticed a few visits already.
It only took about five minutes, so it might be worth a shot yourself.

Hey David, glad it was useful to you (& thanks for the link)
Email them with the link to this review & they’ll add $0.02 a day to your card as a thank you which will help push you up further :-)The link is about halfway down their blog page.
I can see that my free 2c has put me on the front page, about 4 lines down!
Oh thanks Chris. I’d probably not have noticed that. Email sent.
Your post about upgrading to WP 2.1 prompted me into action. I was on edge during the quick process from WP 2.0.4 but got there in the end, with only a couple of minutes of layout disruption.
Hi David, thanks for the kind words about blast, its much appreciated. Your site and card both look great BTW!
I’ve added this page to the list of bla.st press mentions.
Cheers,
Tim
A comment from the man himself! Tim didn’t comment on mine [sulks]. ;-)
Upgrading’s a bit scary, but so easy it’s untrue. I only realised afterwards that I could have upgraded with one click using Fantastico on my hosting package…Still, I think I prefer to keep close control of my themes and plugins.
Good luck with the venture Tim.
Great tip, interesting concept, I’ll be spreading the word on this one also.
Thanks,
Love your site! Keep it up!
Hi David! I’ m looking for inspirational designs for my brother’s business card, he’s a Tattoo Artist. So I want to come up a concept that would tell him about his work. Can you give me some links or sites that could help me? Your help is very much appreciated. By the way I follow you on Twitter and I always go to your site because I learned so much from it.
Thank you so much David!
Maria
Hi Maria, try searching for “oh my god, it even has a watermark.” Good luck, and thanks for the visits!
