Update: 06th February 2007
Technorati have listened to the concerns of those who petitioned 2000 Bloggers.
If you’re interested in more details you’ll find them at Jeremiah’s Web Strategy site. Those details are very one-sided against the project, but I’ll leave it up to you to decide if it was a good idea or not.
Here’s a novel idea that has been doing the rounds of late. Tino Buntic’s 2000 Bloggers is a site that does exactly what it says on the tin.
Want to see 2000 bloggers? You got it. Well, almost. There are currently around 1500 bloggers being displayed so if you head on over there’s a chance you can get your own blog linked to aswell. Not only that, but your wonderful mug-shot is in some fine company.
Donald Trump is there with his blog. Seth Godin also joins the procedings. In fact, there are quite a few familiar faces such as Ben Yoskovitz and Ben McConnell. What excited me most however (and I’ve enlarged his image, as well as mine, in the above screenshot), was when my eyes homed in on who I thought was Ross Kemp.
Unfortunately for us all, although I’m sure he’s a great guy, it was just Greg Verdino. Greg, if things don’t work out in your online media / advertising career, you could always fall back on becoming a Ross Kemp look-a-like.
